Mission of Single Mothers Support Group:

• to form a network of women who share similar challenges and concerns

• to establish a healthy process of listening, encouraging and supporting one another

• to discuss stressful issues and obtain creative solutions to some of the problems single mothers are experiencing

• to develop a peer support network pledged to maintain confidentiality by which to expand insights into self and others

• to help participants grow as individuals, strengthen their capacities for effective mothering, and explore ways to work effectively with the noncustodial parents.

Guest speakers will address topics such as parent effectiveness, improving communication with the noncustodial parent, preparation guidelines for legal proceedings, health and nutrition and other subjects of interest. Program suggestions are welcomed.
