Living the hectic pace of day to day life, mothers typically do not take the necessary time to connect with our fellow womankind. Support systems and mentoring relationships once invaluable in days gone by, are all but nonexistent. Be we single or married, living by ourselves or with someone, women often feel   alone and frustrated as we try to perform ‘Super Mom’ feats! We can become perplexed and overwhelmed by a combination of complex emotions that seem to undermine our efforts to effectively parent.

Greensburg Mothers Network will highlight programs focused on parenting, in general, and on motherhood, in particular. Ongoing activities will be geared to strengthen participants on both the personal and interpersonal level.  Face to face programs will be conducted either in person, or via the miracles of cyberspace using features such as Skype. Relationships with peers will be developed and strengthened as we examine areas of shared interest and concern. Subgroups of Mothers experiencing a common set of challenges will be designed around themes such as single parenting, raising a gay son or lesbian daughter, caring for a chronically ill child, and other specific focuses.  In the process of it all, participants have opportunity to acquire an expanded set of tools to grow as women, better connected and equipped to be effective, healthy mothers
